Born from the idea of Ettore Sottsass and his Memphis Group, in the early 1980s design gained a new concept, drawing inspiration from modern movements as well as from ancient cultures. These heavy table lamps were made during the 1980s, and are in a style inspired by a temple building from an ancient European culture. They are reminiscent in style to the Pausania light by Sottsass ( 1983 ). Both lights in this pair are identical, in matted black lizard skin paint. finish, thick glass that give a fantastic lighting effect by the one halogen source that is hidden in the top, and both lights have a perfect working dimmer / switch in the middle of the heavy base. All parts of the lamp are complete and in working order.
